When she found out she was pregnant and lost her job, she didn't know where to find support for pregnant women in crisis.

She worked as a nurse until the hospital unexpectedly fired her. The stability she had worked so hard for suddenly vanished. The questions came quickly: “Oh my gosh, what do I do? How am I going to provide for my family?” She felt lost, alone, and overwhelmed.

Hello, my name is Brooklyn, and I wanted to take a moment to share just how wonderful every single person at AXIA is.

Here's a little bit of my backstory. I was born with a structural problem in my bladder that affected my chances of ever getting pregnant. I struggled with fertility issues for six and a half years. A mother in the church had recently lost her husband in a tragic motorcycle accident. In a moment, life had completely changed. She was suddenly widowed, caring for a newborn baby, and raising young children on her own.

Her church bravely shared her story, trusting that the community around them would respond. And they did.
